Detroit City FC revealed plans for its future home and new stadium sponsor Monday night.

Beginning with the 2027 USL Championship season, the club will take the field at AlumniFi Field, a $150 million, 15,000-seat soccer venue to be built in southwest Detroit. AlumniFi Credit Union — a division of Michigan State University Federal Credit Union — expanded its partnership with DCFC and secured naming rights after serving as a jersey patch sponsor since 2024.
Planning for a permanent home began in 2020, with the project now set to deliver a state-of-the-art facility in one of the city’s most passionate neighborhoods.
“This is incredibly personal for me to do a project with this amount of significance in a neighborhood that I love,” DCFC CEO Sean Mann told The Detroit News. “I live in southwest Detroit. I live just a few blocks from the stadium site. I’ve been there for about 20 years.”
“A group of us who started this team back in 2012 have all chipped in a few thousand dollars. This has been a pretty amazing journey for us. We have slowly been able to build this club.”
