Western Michigan claimed its fourth league title with a 23–13 win over Miami Ohio on Saturday at Ford Field.

“We played complementary football today,” head coach Lance Taylor said. “The offense was able to run the ball, the defense had some big stops and Palmer (place kicker Palmer Domschke) was big for us.”
Junior running back Jalen Buckley exploded for 175 yards on 13 carries, scoring twice on long touchdown runs. WMU’s defense limited Miami to 173 total yards and posted a season-high 15 quarterback pressures.
Domschke drilled field goals from 27, 31 and 50 yards, while defensive end Nadame Tucker notched 2.5 sacks for 19 yards in losses and added four quarterback hits.
Buckley earned offensive player of the game, Tucker claimed defensive honors, and Domschke took special teams recognition.
